So how are we different to other legal service providers?
Our preference is to work closely with your team to manage and address legal issues as (or before) they arise. Our commitment to this involves working in your premises, so we are accessible to your team, and truly understand your business requirements. Energy Legal prides itself on adding value to its clients, through commercial and pragmatic solutions.
Legal services have traditionally been provided by external firms or in house legal teams (or both). Energy Legal is comfortable working with both, but provides a consulting legal service to deliver enhanced outcomes. The benefits our clients see are:
- We can work on a project team, not external to it. This means we can assist to resolve legal issues “on the run”, and often turn a problem into a commercial opportunity;
- The ability to properly understand the business imperative;
- Where formal legal advice is required, the opportunity to concisely define the question, and thereby ensure a more cost effective answer;

Another difference in our approach is that we do not think every legal problem requires a formal written opinion. Where appropriate, we adopt a consultative approach to talk through and understand legal issues or strategy, and to explore with our clients through dialogue the best solutions.
